12 Outdoor Education (Semester 1)

In this course you will be introduced to rock-climbing and bushcraft skills.

Course Components

  • Gain skills and confidence in rock-climbing
  • Learn how to prepare for, and participate in an overnight tramp
  • Learn about weather, survival skills, and topographic maps

This course only runs in Semester One

Term 1
Build on climbing skills in various locations around the Port Hills - focus on abseiling and rock climbing

Term 2
Build on tramping and bushcraft skills in various locations around Christchurch
