12 History

SEMESTER ONE COURSE

At Level 2 we focus on developing the skills you learnt at Level 1 History. Historical events covered will focus on events where people have experienced major challenges. Student choice is a feature of the course as you research and learn to examine the past as a historian.

• Influenza Pandemic 1918
• NZ involvement in the WW1/WW2
• Māori Battalion WW1               
• Dawn Raids
• Springbok Tour 1981
• Treaty of Waitangi in relation to land e.g. Bastion Point, Land march, Parihaka

This course is split into two semesters: students can take just one course or both.
