12 Financial Life Skills

SEMESTER ONE COURSE

Financial Life Skills explores the themes of managing money and income, setting financial goals, and managing financial risk

Course Components

  • Investigating the financial life stages
  • Managing debt and KiwiSaver
  • Becoming financially secure and responsible
  • Insurance  products

This course is split into two semesters: students can take just one course or both.


Course Overview

Term 1
In Term 1, students will be learning how significant life events can affect their personal income at different life stages, and about personal financial savings and investment options.

Term 2
In Term 2, students will be learning about different banking products and services in relation to their personal finances.
