11 Maths with Algebra

This course has an emphasis on algebra and graphing and provides a good base for all courses at Year 12, 13 and beyond.

Course Components

  • Solve problems involving number, linear and higher algebra, and geometry
  • Manipulate and solve algebraic expressions and examine optimisation using graphs
  • Use statistics and probability to examine data and model real world scenarios

Course Overview

Term 1
Complete 1.2 (Use mathematical methods to explore problems that relate to life in Aotearoa New Zealand or the Pacific - internal)
Work on algebra material related to the 1.4 external (Demonstrate mathematical reasoning)

Term 2
Complete 1.1 (Explore data using a statistical enquiry process - internal)
Continue working on algebra for the 1.4 external (Demonstrate mathematical reasoning)

Term 3
Continue working on algebra for the 1.4 external (Demonstrate mathematical reasoning)

Term 4
Continue working on algebra for the 1.4 external (Demonstrate mathematical reasoning)
