12 April
Students will look at different ways of making a financial decision, and then use a local business as a case study to advise them on a financial decision.
Term 2
AS 92029, 1.2 Demonstrate and understanding of price determination for an organisation, 5 credits internal
5 July
In groups, students will learn how to run a business by making a product and selling it at a school Market Day. They will be assessed on how they set and review the price of their product.
Term 3
AS 92031, 1.4, Demonstrate understanding of the financial viability of an organisation 5 credits, External
12-23 August
Students will use their own business from Term 2 as the case study for a report that shows how an event could affect the financial viability of their business.
Term 4
AS 92030, 1.3 Demonstrate understanding of how financial relationships are effected by an event, 5 credits, External
Students will be given a case study to demonstrate their understanding of how interdependent financial relationships are affected by an event.
