SEMESTER TWO COURSE
Life Skills: Develop an understanding of the types of skills required to support a successful transition in to life beyond school.
Course Components
- Discover and access support services in the local community
- Explore implications of living independently in rental/flatting scenarios
- Consider financial obligations as an independent person and any changes to personal circumstances that impact on this
This course is split into two semesters: students can take just one course or both.
Course Overview
Semester 2
This semester the class will continue to focus on work roles and job search skills but further investigate life skills to support students becoming independent and self-managing. Students will complete 12354 Implications of living in rental accommodation include exploring the legal rights and responsibilities for a person living in a renting or flatting situation. Life skills will be covered to support students in becoming independent and self-managing. Growth/fixed mindset will be explored and students will complete the US 24871 Complete complex forms.
