12 Pathways
SEMESTER ONE COURSE
Work Ready Skills: Explore potential career pathways and gain valuable skills and resources to support your pathway into employment.
Course Components
- Use a range of tools and resources to explore possible career options
- Create a CV & develop cover letter writing skills
- Explore the process in applying for employment
- Develop interview skills
This course is split into two semesters: students can take just one course or both.
This course can be taken in conjunction with Financial Life Skills classes
Course Overview
Semester 1
The focus this term is on exploring career options. Students will learn to identify skills and qualities and do indepth research for two careers of their choice. The aim is to help students identify potential pathways. Students will complete US 12383 Explore career options and their implications by the end of term 1. Students will also look for job opportunities and how to apply for jobs. Students will complete US 4253 Demonstrate knowledge of job search skills. US 1294 Interview in formal situations is an optional unit on offer.
