11 Food and Nutrition

Food and Nutrition is about the complex inter-connection between physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions of people's lives. 

In this subject ākonga develop an understanding of current issues related to food, nutrition and health and learn about how a range of factors influence well-being. This learning can help ākonga understand what contributes to healthy relationships and develop strategies to strengthen their sense of identity and self-worth. There is a balance of practical and theory activities each week.
